Reception: Tuesday, October 29 7 p.m. One Day: Wednesday, October 30 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Join us as the churches of the Mountain West subregion join together to consider the powerful reality of the gospel and our desperation for God to “give us the mountains” by moving in and through our churches.
All are welcome (including non-Acts29 churches) and encouraged to bring their staff, pastors, wives, and lay leaders.
Our focus will riff on John Knox’s famous prayer, “Give me Scotland, or I die". Burk Parsons said this of Knox: “Knox’s prayer was not an arrogant demand, but the passionate plea of a man willing to die for the sake of the pure preaching of the gospel and the salvation of his countrymen. Knox’s greatness lay in his humble dependence on our sovereign God to save His people, revive a nation, and reform His church. As is evident from his preaching and prayer, Knox believed neither in the power of his preaching nor in the power of his prayer, but in the power of the gospel and the power of God, who sovereignly ordains preaching and prayer as secondary means in the salvation of His people.”
The mission of Acts29 is to plant churches worldwide. Everything we do is defined by relationships, theological clarity, and church planting.
