The Youth Engagement & Training Initiative of Southington is a program designed to empower teens (ages 14–18) to positively impact the Southington Community through volunteer service. The program connects young people with local nonprofits, service projects, and community events. Whether it's helping at food banks, assisting with environmental cleanups, supporting senior citizens, or mentoring younger kids, being a YETI offers meaningful opportunities for teens to build leadership skills, earn service hours, and become active, responsible citizens.
Through guided mentorship, flexible scheduling, and skill-building workshops, the program will help teens grow personally and professionally while giving back to the community in ways that truly matter.
Please note that there is an opportunity to earn high school credit based on service completion and evaluation from administrators on a case-by-case basis.
