Th from 9 to 11.ank you for your interest in helping your child learn a second language! I have questions below to help me know what days/times work best with the majority. I will contact everyone when/if I get enough interest. I have a FB page of past groups that I have led if you're interested in seeing pics. I need at least 12 kids total to sign up. I will have two classes - one for K-2 that will have less/easier reading/writing activities and another for 3rd-5th grade that will be heavier on the reading/writing activities. Cost is $15 for the hour, but if I can get 17+ kids signed up, it will be $10 an hour. This sign up is for the first semester (Aug-Dec). If you all find that this is helpful for your child's homeschooling, I would be happy to continue it in the spring!
I am hoping I will still be able to tutor part time this school year (waiting to hear about funding), so my proposed days/hours below are based on that schedule.
If you don't know me, here is a quick bio :) I have a BA in child development and family studies and have a teaching license for B-K. I moved to Peru after college as a missionary where I learned Spanish and met my future husband. When we came back to the states, I got my Masters in Christian Education and spent over 10 years working as a children's director in various Presbyterian churches. My husband became an ordained PCUSA minister. We moved to Goldsboro a little over 3 years ago when he was called to be the Pastor at First Presbyterian Church. I have been tutoring math in the public schools, but have led some Spanish children's classes as well. I also teach an advanced Spanish adult class at First Pres once a week in the evening.
