In this free, hands-on workshop, drumming
participants will receive group and individual instruction in hand
placement and basic rhythm patterns on the Afrikan djembe drum. Led by Bamboula 2000 founder Baba
Luther Gray and Mama Jamilah Peters-Muhammed, participants will be instructed in drumming techniques as well as basic Afrikan dance steps and sequences. Men and women, girls and boys are
encouraged to attend. Everyone can enjoy at their own level!
SPACE IS LIMITED FOR THIS WORKSHOP. PREREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. A number of drums will be provided, however, participants who have their own drums
are encouraged to bring them as this will enable us to accommodate more
